Blessing Bags

Our Blessings in a Bag activity challenges students to use their TIME to identify TREASURE that you can give to others in need. Then, distribute your Blessings in a Bag to make a difference!⁠ If you are going to give you Blessings in a Bag to a local nonprofit, make sure to ask them what they need most!⁠ Here is a list of items that you can put in your Blessings in a Bag!

When students learn that someone is experiencing challenges, they often feel helpless — this project changes that. This step-by-step guide walks students through every stage of assembling and distributing Blessing Bags: from planning and collecting supplies, to assembling with care, to writing the handwritten notes that make each bag feel like a hug. Students learn about people in need in age-appropriate ways while doing something genuinely meaningful.
