Holiday Giving Guide

What does it mean to give? During the holiday season, many young people think about the gifts they hope to receive, but philanthropy invites them to think about something even more powerful: the gifts they can give. Whether it’s spending time with someone who feels lonely, using a unique talent to help others, or sharing resources with someone in need, every student has the ability to make a difference.

The Holiday Giving Guide helps bring philanthropy to life through hands-on activities, meaningful conversations, and simple service projects designed for the classroom or home. Students explore the concept of giving through the lens of their 3Ts: time, talent, and treasure. Along the way, they identify their passions, reflect on the needs of others, and discover that even small acts of kindness can create a lasting impact. From creating holiday cards and organizing donation drives to recognizing their own unique gifts, students learn that generosity is not limited to a season. It is a mindset they can carry with them all year long.

The challenge is yours: How will you use your 3Ts to brighten someone else’s day this holiday season? Whether you volunteer your time, share a special talent, donate needed items, or inspire others to join you, there’s a meaningful way for everyone to give back. This is philanthropy in action, and it begins with the simple belief that every person, regardless of age, has something valuable to contribute to the world.
