Holidays with Heart

As we approach the holiday season, it is important that we keep in mind all the ways in which we can make the world a better and brighter place for people in need. We all have time, talent and treasure to give, so let's find a way to help!

The holidays are already full of giving — but what if they were full of intentional giving? This Heart Beat features all the ways in which students can take the spirit of generosity and turn it outward in powerful, practical ways of giving back: collecting toys for children in hospitals, assembling care kits for families at shelters, and spreading thoughtful joy far beyond their own circles.

This activity helps students reflect on the giving traditions already in their own families and communities, then dream up ways to add a philanthropic layer that makes the season even richer. Because the best holiday gift is always one that reaches someone who really needs it.
