March Madness – Mascot Buddies

Mascots are a great way to help people remember a team, business or organization. This adorable March activity invites students to create their own mascot buddy inspired by their favorite cause, blending the infectious energy of basketball season with the warmth of intentional giving.

Research three nonprofits and then create a profile and draw a mascot for each one! As students design, name, and describe their mascot buddies, they practice cause identification, creative expression, and the core Project Heart skill of connecting personal passion to community purpose.

Bonus points: Have your students send their ideas to a local nonprofit!
