Our Class Mission Statement Mad Libs

Cultivating a classroom culture means getting all students on the same page towards the same goal and purpose. When a group of people decides together who they want to be, something remarkable happens: they actually start becoming it.

Help students breathe their thoughts and ideas into how their classroom culture should look and feel with this fun and engaging activity! A MadLibs style activity means that students are practicing vocabulary and parts of a sentence all while crafting a unique mission statement that every student will proudly agree to. The statement that emerges becomes the north star of your classroom.

Post the finished statement prominently, return to it often, and watch as students begin holding each other accountable to the community they promised to be.
