Lesson Plan: Community Detectives

Introduces service project planning through a reflective warm-up, review of key philanthropy vocabulary, and needs-identification activities. Students act as "philanthropy detectives," analyze classroom and school environments, and map opportunities to help. Reinforces the 3Ts while guiding students to design meaningful, school-based service projects.

Through discussion and reflection, they evaluate different spaces, consider how improvements could help others, and begin generating ideas for meaningful, student-led service projects within their school community.
