Lesson Plan: Growing as Givers

Introduces reflection on philanthropy through a structured review of key vocabulary and guided "glow and grow" discussions. Students analyze their service experiences, celebrate successes, and identify areas for improvement. Reinforces the 3Ts while encouraging self-awareness and helping students plan how to continue making a difference.

Presentation: Growing as Givers

Covers key vocabulary review and guides students through reflecting on their journey as a philanthropist. Slides are structured with "glow and grow" prompts, discussion questions, and sentence stems, helping students evaluate their impact, celebrate successes, and reinforce how to continue giving through time, talent, and treasure.

Activity: Self-Reflection

Students complete a self-reflection worksheet by evaluating their experiences as philanthropists. Through guided prompts, students assess how they used their time, talent, and treasure, reinforcing self-awareness, emotional reflection, and their understanding of how giving impacts themselves and others.

Activity: Certificate of Achievement

Students are recognized for their successful journey as a philanthropist by receiving a Project Heart Certificate that celebrates their efforts and impact. This culminating activity reinforces students' identity as helpers and changemakers, building confidence and pride while honoring their use of time, talent, and treasure to make a difference.
